Days of Thanks / Days of Giving: Day 8

>For the eighth day of giving, our Director of People, Michelle Whitmore, has chosen Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) to receive a $100 donation from Canna Advisors.

Students for Sensible Drug Policy is an international grassroots network of students who are concerned about the impact of drug misuse on our communities, but who also know that the “War on Drugs” is failing our generation and our society.

SSDP mobilizes and empowers young people to participate in the political process, pushing for sensible policies to achieve a safer and more just future. SSDP does this while fighting back against counterproductive policies – in particular, those that directly harm students and youth.

As much as possible, Michelle likes to support the advocates of common-sense drug policy reform, and she can’t think of a better way to do so than to back this industry’s future business professionals, policy-makers and advocates.

Our intern, Alex Bibisi, chose Cat Care Society as the organization getting his $100 donation.

Cat Care Society is a Lakewood-based organization that works to find new homes and improve the quality of life for homeless, injured, and abused cats. The group runs educational and community outreach programs, operates a no-kill shelter for cats in the Denver metro area, and provides affordable services for low-income cat parents, such as veterinary care, dental work, and food donations.
