Director of Field Operations
Luke specializes in managing all aspects of facility construction, operations, and engineering for our clients. With vast experience in capital project planning and execution, as well as facilities startup, Luke helps clients save money by improving efficiencies and making sure they don’t stumble into the same pitfalls that trap most cannabis businesses.
Luke is accustomed to developing and leading teams in every stage of facility planning and build-out, from bid packages to design interpretation, equipment installation, and construction. He got his start working for his family’s engineering and construction company in Birmingham, Alabama, where he developed the skills to manage multiple projects, budgets, employees, and customers in high-pressure and demanding environments. He credits his dad for making him learn every trade in the engineering and construction fields, from electrical and instrumentation to piping, concrete, and steel. This hands-on, actively-involved approach provides a unique perspective and knowledge of business that few people in the cannabis industry can claim.
During his three-year tenure at Privateer Holdings, Luke managed the design, build, and operational startup of Tilray’s $30 million medical cannabis facility, the second cannabis facility in the world to be cGMP-certified. He also directly supervised the engineering and construction of a $3 million processing and distribution center in Santa Rosa, California.
When he is not guiding clients through operational challenges, this proud Eagle Scout (who has an affinity for adrenaline-fueling mountain sports) can be found spending time with his wife and two-year-old son, making art with his hands, or searching for his next outdoor adventure.
