NCIA Committee Selection 2020-2021
As the National Cannabis Industry Association celebrates 10 years of advocacy, education, and community building for the industry, we’re excited to continue our legacy of support and participation in the efforts of this foundational organization. From serving as founding members, to participating in Lobby Days, to exhibiting and speaking at NCIA events and serving on committees each year, we believe in taking an active role to shape and build the industry.
Four Canna Advisors team members were selected and are excited to serve on committees for the 2020-2021 term:
Garrett Cropsey: Scientific Advisory Committee
The SAC members are practicing chemists and other professionals with scientific backgrounds who advise other NCIA committees, ensuring that any formal recommendations produced are scientifically sound, sustainable, and legitimate.
Greg Huffaker: State Regulatory Committee
This committee examines and reviews cannabis industry- specific statewide regulations and work to establish best practices and guidance for states and municipalities.
Sumer Thomas: Retail Committee
This committee focuses on all aspects of operating a store front in the cannabis industry, including best practices for both front and back of house.
Victoria Trusy: Education Committee
The Education Committee assists with the design and development of educational programming for NCIA, and helps identify emerging topics in the cannabis space.
By participating on these committees, our team can make a positive impact on the industry, overall, and serve as advocates to address issues that impact our clients.
