Read Spear

Read Spear brings over a decade of business ownership experience to apply to the needs of Canna Advisors’ clients. He successfully ran one of the first cannabis operations in Colorado, and has owned hydroponics equipment and cannabis-specific soil companies. The author of two cannabis cultivation books, Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered and Small Space, Big Yields, Read has a vast understanding of all facets of the industry. Read also serves as an intermediary for the sale and purchase of cannabis industry enterprises and enjoys helping small business entrepreneurs realize and actualize their goals.

He has completed dual degrees in Philosophy, with a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and a M.A. from Duquesne University. Read believes no government should determine what people do with their bodies, whether it be recreational or healthcare related. He is proud to play a role in ending drug prohibition.

Read is often in charge of special projects at Canna Advisors and has earned the moniker the “Winston Wolfe” of the office, a Pulp Fiction reference to the man who was called to fix problems.
