Day Two: Days of Thanks / Days of Giving
Cassie Proper, our Office Manager and Bookkeeper, chose Return to Freedom as her charity.
Return to Freedom provides a safe haven to almost 400 wild horses, including 29 burros. With ongoing federal roundups, the sanctuary fills a vital niche to meet the immediate needs of rescue and sanctuary for wild horses and burros. They also provide a venue to educate the public about America’s wild horses and burros along with solutions to protect them in viable free ranging herds for future generations.
Our Cultivation Operations Expert, Frencis Perret-Gentil, chose the National Canine Cancer Foundation to donate $100 to this year. Funds donated to the NCCF are used in eliminating cancer as a major health problem in dogs through education, outreach and research to save lives through prevention, finding cures, better treatments, more accurate cost-effective diagnostic methods in dealing with cancer, and diminishing dogs suffering from cancer.
To help educate and raise awareness for every pet owner, we have created one of the most comprehensive canine cancer libraries including the ten early warning signs of cancer in your pet. One out of every three dogs will get cancer. Every event that the National Canine Cancer Foundation puts on, every page of our website, and every product and email we send out is done to raise awareness of canine cancer. The NCCF’s goal is to save dogs’ lives, educate and reach all dog owners, find new treatment, and a cure for canine cancer. As far as research, the NCCF helps fund universities that are performing cutting-edge research toward prevention, finding cures, better treatments, more accurate cost-effective diagnostic methods in dealing with cancer, and diminishing dogs suffering from cancer.
Stay tuned for more charities of choice from Canna team members throughout the holiday season!
