2018 NCIA Lobby Days

The National Cannabis Industry Association‘s annual Lobby Days event in Washington, D.C. unites cannabis industry activists to advance social, political, and economic reform. Canna co-founders Diane and Jay Czarkowski joined leaders and supporters this year to advocate, educate, and engage political leaders and members of the news media.

Diane has been to D.C. every year since Lobby Days was founded, and she noticed a definite increase from last year and previous years in the number of politicians who were aware and educated about cannabis industry issues. Jay’s past experience has been that there are barely a handful of politicians who could be relied on to support and be open about cannabis, but at Lobby Days there were many who wanted to join the conversation and speak on the subject. Both are positive signs that advocacy is working and hopefully hints that safe-access legalization – the main reason for cannabis advocacy – is finally on the horizon.

Jay Czarkowski Joins the Board of the New Jersey Cannabis Industry Association

Jay Czarkowski is the newest member of the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey Cannabis Industry Association. Jay joins other experienced and strategic trustees who contribute to the NJCIA’s mission of promoting sensible policy, responsible development, and growth of a legalized cannabis-based economy. As one of the original entrepreneurs, investors, and advocates in the cannabis industry, Jay brings his extensive knowledge and expertise of cannabis to this emerging state market.
